The transition from Theory to Practical;

This transition has proven to be an upward climb for me. These select projects provided a needed interjection of constraints within my design process, many that I rarely encountered during my formal years of training. Parameters such as constructability, logistics, climatic resilience, and lastly cost, challenged me to confront my selfish desires and stubborn nature; while allowing me a defined space for creative expression. The architectural process of these projects was grounded in analysis and integrated concept application on a more deeper and pragmatic level. But most importantly these projects allowed me to identify my weaknesses, particularly architectural tectonics. This first-year design experience has left a mark on my design style, matured my ideas, structured my approach and added an appetite for Tropical Modern.
